Silky Sugowaza 420 XL Teeth Curved Saw

16.5” Blade is tapered from the tooth tip to the back spine to reduce resistance and deliver smoother, easier, faster cutting performance. Hard chrome plating produces an exceedingly durable surface and is resistant to rust and effects of resin. Cuts on the pull stoke for maximum control and ergonomic advantage. Large grooved rubber handle is comfortable to hold, reduces vibration, and offers superior grip in cold and wet conditions. Included scabbard has D-ring and strap slots. Overall Length: 23.75”. Teeth Configuration: 5.5 teeth per inch.

Excellent saw for trails. I live on 250 acres of woodlands and have cleared many miles of fence lines by using chainsaws, axes, and machete. I wanted to start using a handsaw for maintaining and making new bike trails and not leave sharp points and limb stubs. This is a great saw: the blade is just the right thickness to make you feel confident it won’t break or bend too much. The cross guards protect my hand from thorny vines when clearing in thick undergrowth. The length is great; long strokes zip through the wood, plus I can snag limbs that have fallen into the creek or simply drag debris from trail without bending over. The handle and shape are well made, and I have complete control when my hand is sweaty. I use it to cut brush and small trees even with the ground and not leave sharp points like an axe or machete. First time I took this saw to work on a trail, I left the axe at the trail head because the saw was quicker and less work.
